Connection Issues, Tardiness, and Misconduct
Connection Issues
However, if the outcome is clearly decided (e.g., a lethal amount of garbage is about to fall with no counter possible), that game may be counted as valid.
In cases where the disconnect occurs at different times on each player’s screen (e.g., one disconnects during the start of a chain, the other at the end), priority is given to the earlier point of disconnection.
*If a spectator disconnects before the match concludes in A-Class and the match ends without the spectator's stop signal, it may still be counted as valid if both players agree.
*For Master Class and above, all rulings are based on the spectator’s screen.
1. Close Puyo Puyo Champions on your Switch and reopen it (press the X button on the Switch home screen to close the game).
2. Restart your router.
If you still cannot connect, consider rescheduling or consult with the organizers.
Tardiness
- If the late player contacts their opponent and the opponent agrees, the match can proceed even if the delay exceeds 10 minutes.
- The on-time player has full discretion. It’s completely fine to say “No match today.”
- Two unexcused late arrivals will result in disqualification.
- Even with notice, three instances of tardiness will also result in disqualification.
*Please remember that both players have arranged their schedules to make time for the match.
*Apologies to those who were kept waiting, but awarding a win by default may impact the league standings. If possible, reschedule and play the match.
Misconduct
*The decision to ban will be made by the league organizer, Piponeer.
*If you’ve caused trouble in the past or feel you’ve behaved inappropriately, please be careful this time.
*For younger players (and adults, too): remember that what you post on social media is seen by many people. Avoid making others uncomfortable.
